Capital One Credit Card Credit Limit Increases

It's long been known that Capital One don't really like to discuss Credit Limit increases, that's not to say they don't offer Credit Limit Increases, more they like to make the decision without a customer requesting it.

That hasn't stopped a lot of customers calling them to request a Credit Limit Increase. Lately, Capital One have introduced a new function inside their Online management area to allow customers to request a Credit Limit increase. So if you hold a Capital One Platinum, Capital One Classic Credit Card etc you can now apply for a Credit Limit increase in real time.

Login, choose the Account Management section from the menu, then select the Manage Credit Limit. From here you can adjust your Credit Limit, you can reduce or request a Credit Limit Increase. When we first applied we was greeted with a Sorry you are not eligible for a Credit Limit increase. A couple of months later we attempted again and this time was greeted with a “We Need more information” message, asking us to call them, which we did.

Despite providing the information they requested, we received a letter telling us that at the moment we don't qualify for a Credit Limit increase but they do monitor credit limits and would be sure to inform us if we qualify.

Let us know how you get on 🙂

I have had a capital one card for nearly 8 years and never had an increase, stuck on £300, it’s a poor card, they say they offer a card to people with bad credit, my wife has been building her credit for 4 years now, no missed payments, no new accounts they still declined her. They are not a good card
