Should I buy Life Insurance?

It’s going to happen to everyone, we don’t want to think about it, but your untimely demise could have one of the biggest financial implications for those closes to you, It’s never nice to think about, but as a rule of thumb, if you have dependants such as a partner or children, then it’s generally a good idea to take out some form of Life Insurance.

When should you consider buying life insurance?

If you don’t already have life insurance, there are certain changes in circumstances that might lead you to reconsider, such as:

•Becoming a parent.

•Getting married.

•A change in your income level like becoming the main breadwinner in the family or a partner losing their job.

•Moving home, buying a house or taking out a substantial loan (for buying a car etc.).
Life Insurance policies.
There are two types of life insurance, whole of life and term assurance. As the name implies, whole of life cover extends throughout your natural lifetime, although this type of policy does usually attract higher premiums.

Term Assurance tends to appeal to those looking at paying lower monthly premiums on their life insurance.

Life Insurance from Asda- From only £5 per month!

How much cover will you need?
Ideally you should be looking at enough cover to ensure that your dependants are able to maintain their standard of living if the worse should happen to you. A ballpark figure is typically 10 times your current salary, although people without children may require less.

Is life Insurance expensive?

The good news is that Life insurance can cost as little as under £10 per month! Depending on the amount and type of cover you need, we have provided some links below that may give you an indication of the monthly cost you are looking at. Remember, it’s FREE to get a quote and is a good idea to shop around to find the best policy/cover for you!

A long time before your mobile was born, you relied on your Landline to make all of your calls. Now, in 2010, the Landline isn’t as popular. As a result, BT is making changes to it’s calling plans again!

Some of you may have received a letter through the post from BT informing you about the changes, some may of received information online. What you need to know is that from April 1st 2010, BT are changing the Peak time on their service. Usually free evening calls are available from 6pm until 6am, however, from April 1st BT are changing it to 7am-7pm.

This means you have to wait a whole hour more before getting your free calls.

Other changes include the call set up fee of 9.3p changing to 9.9p!!!

Daytime UK calls
The cost of your daytime calls is also set to rise from 5.4p to 5.9p. However, this change does not apply to BT Basic, Light User Scheme and In-Contact Plus customers.

Unlimited anytime plans
If you currently have an Unliimited Anytime Plan then the above changes will not affect inclusive calls as long as they do not last longer than one hour.

This information is so small on a leaflet, it may of been missed.

We do have to ask the question why BT feel the need to increase calls again?

Is this the reason more and more people are giving up their landline and choosing a mobile phone?

Will any mobile phone operator see a market between 6pm and 7pm to offer free calls?

One day will we all give up our Landlines for a mobile?… If we did, would the same kind of service be offered by Vodafone, Orange etc?

It’s a shame in our eyes that BT punish current customers for the fact they lost customers, if it continues, I for one will be giving up the trusted phone line and replacing it with a mobile phone service.
